Rod Capper's Guitars Arrive in Bristol
The Spanish Guitar Centre is delighted to introduce Rod
Capper's wonderful Concert Guitars to the U.K.
Rod's Guitars
Rod Capper, the luthier from Auckland, New Zealand, visited the Spanish Guitar
Centre on his recent European tour with guitarist Bruce Paine. He presented us
with two of his instruments, built in Indian rosewood and Engelmann spruce, both
featuring the stunning treble that Capper conjures up in all his guitars,
balanced by the depth and power of the bass.
Capper's instruments can be heard on "Second Recital for Guitar", a CD featuring
Bruce Paine, who says...."I can truly say I have not felt this excited about
guitars for a long time".
Another visit on the Capper/Paine whistle-stop tour of the U.K. was to their old
friend, Derek Hasted, who needs no
introduction (!) and Paine was featured as soloist with Hasted's Hampshire Area
Guitar Orchestra (HAGO) concert in Portsmouth. In his review of the concert, Tim
Panting (Classical Guitar magazine September 2005) sings the praises of an
"inspirational" concert by the orchestra,
Bruce Paine and the sound quality of
the Capper guitars.
Rod Capper's two guitars sold very quickly to delighted customers and we have
just received a cedar top model, which is in stock and generating a huge amount
of interest. ( Now Sold to Denian Arcoleo

Rod Capper's guitars are a very welcome addition to our renowned range of top
quality guitars, featuring instruments by Spanish, English and Canadian luthiers
